smcp — Small Capitals

smcp (Small Capitals) replaces lowercase glyphs with small capitals.

Used for lines set with a mix of capitals and small capitals, such as titles. It may also include forms associated with small capitals, such as oldstyle figures.

Replacing capital letters with small capitals is the job of c2sc (Small Capitals From Capitals). The specification asks fonts that implement smcp to also implement c2sc.

Petite capitals, smaller still than small capitals, follow the same structure: pcap (Petite Capitals) takes lowercase letters and c2pc (Petite Capitals From Capitals) takes capitals.
