tnum — Tabular Figures
tnum (Tabular Figures) replaces proportional-width figures with tabular-width forms. Proportional width is often the default in the absence of this feature, and it is not used in monospaced designs.
The specification’s example is using it to get oldstyle figures that align vertically in a column.
The counterpart in the figure-width axis is pnum (Proportional Figures). The specification states that tnum overrides the results of pnum. The figure-style axis (lnum and onum) is independent of this, and tnum can apply to either lining or oldstyle figures. It is sometimes combined with zero, which adds a slash through the 0.
